Hello! I’m Serena Hawthorne, a 26-year-old gal currently living in Nashville, Tennessee. I’m an eclectic, secular witch with a love of crystals and online shopping. By day I work as a writer. By night I’m usually asleep. In between, I find time to do all the other things I love, like blogging, tarot, drinking tea, and reading books. I think there’s magic in even the most ordinary of things and the purpose of this blog is to find it.

My story: I was raised Catholic but was always drawn to magic(k). I was constantly in nature as a child and felt such a connection to the environment around me. When I stepped away from Catholicism years later, I went through a period of spiritual apathy – like, what’s the point in believing in anything if it’s just going to let me down? When I found witchcraft as an adult, that all changed. All of a sudden, these urges and feelings I’ve had all my life fell into place. Total “aha” moment, and I’ve never looked back!

I primarily work with tarot cards, crystals, and the moon. I want to learn more about herbs and working with local plants.
